The Wedding Date

It was hard to deny someone so charming, so of course I told Carson Harrison I would be his plus one at his brother’s wedding in two weeks.

“By the way, there’s something I wanted to give you in honor of our third date together.”
He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a flat, rectangular box.
When he opened the box, my jaw nearly dropped to the floor. Inside was the most stunning 14Kt gold Amethyst and diamond  bracelet I had ever seen.
“I know how much you love purple, so when I saw this in the store, I just couldn’t resist.”
“I love it! Thank you so much.” I couldn’t hide my excitement. I promised him that I would wear it to his brother’s upcoming wedding.

When the invitation arrived the next day, I was both excited and nervous. I really liked Carson so far, but I had never met his older brother, and now I was going to be a guest at his wedding. Aside from this, I had no idea what I was going to wear.

I rummaged through my closet for hours until I found the perfect little black dress. You can’t go wrong with an LBD, right? Now I just needed to find some flawless accessories to add a spark of personality to my outfit. I settled on a gorgeous pair of strappy purple pumps and my favorite purple gemstone earrings.  “These will compliment the bracelet Carson got me marvelously,” I thought to myself.

I had been looking forward to this date for weeks, and now it was finally here. I couldn’t help but wonder what he would be wearing. Every time I pictured him in his freshly pressed tuxedo, I could feel my cheeks start to flush. I finished my hair and makeup and got dressed in the outfit I had planned out. I couldn’t believe how well the bracelet matched my earrings and shoes.

After a full morning of preparation, I was finally ready. When the clock struck 11:45, I headed down to my apartment lobby where Carson said he would be waiting to meet me. Sure enough, he was there waiting for me. He looked even more handsome than I remembered.

“You look absolutely gorgeous!” he said.  I couldn’t help but blush as I linked my arm into his and we started heading toward the wedding venue.
