Some people detest moving days, but not me! There is something so cleansing about starting fresh in a new location. Sort of like when I moved into my first apartment after graduating college. I had just landed a new job, so I was excited to break out of the lifestyle of a broke college student.
The apartment I chose was adorable, although I’ll be the first to admit that it had its quirks. It stood out to me for its high ceilings and large windows that featured breathtaking views of the city below. I couldn’t wait to put my style into it and make it feel like home.
I started with my bedroom since this is where I would be spending a lot of my time. I wanted the room to feel cozy and inspiring. But most of all, I wanted to include as much purple as possible.
Settling on a bedframe was tough because there weren’t very many purple options to choose from. After what felt like hours of browsing online, I finally decided to go with a dark grey bed frame 
to balance out my purple theme. The upholstered design of this bedframe is simple, yet luxurious.
The next thing to buy was a mattress. Luckily, I was able to find the comfiest memory foam mattress
that featured my favorite color, purple! I know it might sound silly to pick out a mattress that matched my theme, but I love my mattress for more than just its superior color scheme. This mattress is expertly crafted with layers of comfort. In fact, some of my best nights of sleep were on this mattress.
The bed frame and the mattress were a perfect fit in my new room! But my old scratchy sheets couldn’t pale in comparison. I needed something softer that could measure up to the quality of my new bedroom set. Thankfully, I was able to find the most luxurious microfiber sheet set.
These are lightweight and keep me cool all night long. The best part is that they come in a variety of colors, so I was able to pick the perfect shade of purple to match my bedroom aesthetic.
I was so excited to finally have my bed in order. But, when I looked around my bedroom, it still felt like something was missing. That’s when it hit me. I need to add a bench at the foot of my bed!
I immediately started browsing through all of my favorite online shops and boutiques. Finally, I found a seamless addition to the ensemble – this sleek and luxurious upholstered bench / bed in midnight purple. This is the perfect piece of furniture for lounging, reading, or even tying my shoes. I am so glad I included it in my bedroom setup.
In the blink of an eye, I had the bedroom of my dreams! Now it was time to invite all of my best friends over for an exciting girls’ weekend, but that’s a story for another time!
